Lloyd's Register is a prestigious international organisation,
which for nearly 250 years has been providing independent assurance
services to industry and governments the world over. In addition to
our more traditional verification and certification activities, we
are now market leaders in risk management consulting for high-risk
and asset-intensive industries. We have risk management teams
around the world and are currently embarking on a major expansion
program for our risk business around the world. To support this
growth, we are currently seeking experienced engineers and
consultants.
A range of positions are available, ranging from graduate
engineers through to experienced safety / risk consultants and
business unit managers. Roles will involve working with our
established risk teams in the provision of leading edge consulting
services. Our focus is on the oil and gas, chemicals, process,
rail, marine and nuclear industries, but risk services are offered
to all industry sectors. Services include safety/risk engineering,
reliability engineering/RAM modelling, HSE management systems
advice and human factors.
The roles on offer are challenging, requiring highly motivated and
capable individuals. This will be reflected in the remuneration
package. Opportunities currently exist in a number of our operating
centers in Asia (Australia, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong,
Shanghai and Seoul); in Western Europe, with current focus on the
UK and the Netherlands; and also in the USA. All roles would
require a significant amount of travel / mobility.
Our requirements
Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience in
risk engineering and/or HSE management systems. Consulting
experience will be beneficial, but relevant industry experience is
also valued. Since we are recruiting at all levels of seniority, a
wide range of skills/experience may be suitable.
Typically, we would expect candidates to possess some of the
following attributes:
• a thorough understanding of risk/reliability engineering and HSE
management systems in our target industries, gained in either an
industrial or consulting environment
• oil/gas/process industry experience (or other target
sectors)
• familiarity with technical risk management techniques such as
HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, fire engineering, SIL assessment, RAM modelling
and HSE management systems
• tertiary qualifications in an engineering or science
discipline.
