Inspection
What is Inspection?
Inspection is a careful and critical examination of material,
components, fabrications, equipment or plant against requirements
which may be specified by a national authority or stakeholder.
How we can help
We are able to carry out such inspections in all major
industrial locations in the world. The work requires a variety of
skills (sometimes highly technical) and experience, but is
primarily founded on attention to detail, independence and
integrity. We inspect materials, components and complex
installations of all stages of the asset's lifecycle.
Our inspection services
We inspect to a variety of Codes and Standards, including
Directives and the ASME Code. We also qualify welders and weld
procedures.
The inspection of boilers and pressure systems is a core service.
We also inspect materials, fabrications, mechanical equipment,
electrical equipment, containers and lifting appliances.
We also offer a range of risk based inspection (RBI) services.
What are the benefits?
Inspection produces the assurance of conformance of the
inspected units to specified requirements, based on the competence
of the inspector working to the documented procedures of the
Lloyd's Register Group and the issuance of an inspection
certificate or equivalent. This can be used as the basis of
acceptance or as a trigger for stage payments.
