The Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) will expand its container terminal by building four additional berths to form a 1.44km wharf to enable it to increase its container handling capacity to 12 million TEUs by 2011.

Lloyds Register of Shipping (M) Bhd awarded PTP with the OHSAS 18001:1999 for occupational health and safety management systems and ISO 14001:2004 for environment management system after it had passed an audit exercise by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance Limited last year.
