Project description

The project activity is to capture and refine landfill gas from Daegu Bangcheon-Ri landfill site and supply the gas for production of thermal energy.

The project will be equipped with gas collection and refining facilities, flare stack, gas engines and gas storage tank. The refined gas is to be supplied to Korea District Heating Corp.

The project is expected to generate annual average emission reductioni of 404,872 t-CO2e.

Public comments were sought from 24 August 2006 to 22 September 2006 with the previous version of the PDD to which approved methodology ACM0001 Revision 04 was applied. However it is being re-published for public comments because the revised methodology (ACM0001 Revision 05) is now being applied to the proposed project.
