Project description
To effectively utilize the waste heat carried by the exit gases
from Suspension Preheater (SP) and Air Quenching Chamber (AQC), the
project entity has made decision to build one 9MW waste heat
recovery captive power station for the aforesaid clinker production
line (hereafter referred to the "project activity"). The project
activity includes installation of 2 WHR boilers (One for SP exit
gases and one for AQC exit gases), one steam turbine and one
generator. The total installed capacity reaches 9MW and the power
station will be connected with Central China Power Grid via Jiangxi
Power Grid. The electricity generated by this station
(approximately 66,520MWh) will be used to meet the demands arising
from the operation of the power station itself and meet part of
electricity demands from the project entity originally supplied by
the fossil fuel fired power plants in the regional power grid,
thereby significantly reducing the emission of GHG gases. The
annual emission reductions are to be 59,896tCO2e.
It is not applied small scale project. And it is applied methdology
as version 02 of AM0024 "Methodology for greenhouse gas reductions
through waste heat recovery and utilization for power generation at
cement plants".
Fixed crediting period is 10 years and expected starting date is
01/07/2008
