Project description
The project is to set up an Effluent Treatment Plant in the
seafood industry for generation of biogas and fulfil the objective
of recycling the water. The project generates around 2000 m3 of
effluent per day having
approximately a COD content of 13,000 and 10,400 m3 of biogas per
day having methane content of 55-75%. The biogas will replace about
4.68kL of furnace oil per day.
The applied methodology is AMS I.C. - Thermal Energy for the user
and AMS III.H. - Methane recovery in wastewater treatment.
The project is a small scale CDM project.
The crediting period is renewable 3x7 years starting from
01/10/2006.
The estimated annual emission reduction is 17,158 t-CO2.
