Project description

The project involves the installation of 2 hydro turbines, each of which has a capacity of 4MW, reaching a total install capacity of 8 MW, located on the main stream of the Chabao River in Dazang Village, Barkam County, Aba Tibet and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Northwest of Sichuan Province, China.

Supplying power generated by hydrological resources to Central China Grid can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere.

The applied methodology is AMS I D / Version 12 "Grid connected renewable electricity generation".
The project is a small scale CDM project activity.
First renewable crediting period is 7 years and expected to start from 01/09/2008.

Estimated annual average emission reduction is 34,126t-CO2.
