Project description

The purpose of the project activity is the recovery and utilization of gases produced as a by-product of oil production activities at the Tambun and Pondak Tengah Oil Fields located in West Java Province.

Associated gas around 20 mmscfd is currently generated and mainly flared. The project activity is the construction of the processing and transport infrastructure to take gas to the Cirebon to Cilegon pipeline and substitute supply of dry gas, LPG and condensate from other sources.

The applied methodology is AM0009 / Version 02 "Recovery and utilization of gas from oil wells that would otherwise be flared"

The project is a normal scale CDM project activity.

Crediting period is 10 years fixed and expected to start from 01/07/2007.

Estimated annual average emission reduction is 327,335 t-CO2.
