Lloyds Registers technical investigation service provides engineering assessment and evaluation from concept to operations identifying and understanding problems, determining the scale of potential losses involved and providing customised solutions.

Noise and vibration

Independent, impartial noise and vibration investigations of machinery and structures, using a combination of full-scale measurement and theoretical methods. These enable us to isolate the cause of the problem and evaluate the technical merits of potential solutions.

Analytical investigations

Lloyds Register has expertise and experience in a wide range of analytical techniques and tools, which can be deployed as part of an investigation, or made available directly to clients. Shaft alignment and shafting system analysis

Using a combination of practical experience, theory and testing we are able to provide rational solutions to alignment problems both during construction and in service. We also offer an integrated approach to shafting system analysis, isolating possible causes of failure and identifying optimum design, redesign or maintenance recommendations
