Floating offshore installation
What are floating structures?
The oil and gas industry is increasingly turning to floating
solutions using FPSO, FSO and FPU vessels for hydrocarbon
production, particularly in deep waters, for marginal fields and in
remote locations.
Recent years have seen environmentally driven developments such
as the replacement of flaring by gas export facilities and a number
of novel proposals. For instance extending the application of FSO
and FPSO vessels to liquefied gas storage and export.
