New team boosts Lloyd's Register in Aberdeen
Lloyd's Register EMEA has appointed a new team to broaden its
existing oil and gas consultancy capability.
New consultancy services manager Nick Jackson has been appointed
to support the growth of the organisation's consultancy services in
Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Joining to enhance the
existing team in the development and delivery of new and
established risk management services are Amy Annand, Andrew Blue
and Graeme Sharp. The new arrivals bring risk management skills in
the area of business and HSE (health, safety and environmental)
management systems which will complement and develop the services
currently being offered by Lloyd's Register EMEA.
The new team will be based at one of the Lloyd's Register Group's
largest Oil & Gas offices at Denburn House, Union Terrace,
Aberdeen, UK.
Nick Jackson said: "This is an exciting development for Lloyd's
Register and those of us who have joined them. Lloyd's Register is
a technology leader and we will build on its existing technical
expertise to ensure our clients can measurably enhance their
business performance. To achieve this, it is essential we recruit,
develop and retain the right talent. It's going to be challenging,
rewarding and a lot of fun."
Lloyd's Register EMEA's consulting services are based on a
foundation of technical excellence that supports vital improvements
in health, safety, environmental and business performance for the
oil and gas industry.
Lloyd's Register's Oil & Gas business has experienced
substantial growth in the last few years and has forecasted an
increase in over 40% in revenue and over 25% in headcount in
2007/2008.
In the previous year, 2006/2007, Lloyd's Register's Oil &
Gas business grew 19% in revenue and 25% in headcount. In December
2007 it acquired ModuSpec, the leading supplier of rig inspection
and risk management services to the drilling industry, which added
a further 250 employees which are not included in the above
figures. The Group previously experienced significant and
successful expansion in the America's operations with the
acquisition of the world leader in risk based inspection, Capstone,
in 2005.
Tim Walsh, General Manager of Lloyd's Register EMEA said: "Nick
and the team are a fantastic addition to our existing department.
Nick brings with him a wealth of experience in the industry and he
is just what we need to grow our consultancy services business in
the region."
