Materials and Non-destructive examination technology
What is materials and Non Destructive Examination (NDE)
technology?
Materials and non-destructive examinations (NDE) are applied to
reveal the presence of conditions that may affect the acceptability
of an item. NDE may be applied at the production or fabrication
stage for quality control reasons or at periodic intervals during
service life.
How we can help
Our materials and non-destructive examination (NDE) specialists
(metallurgists, welding engineers and corrosion engineers) provide
inspection, failure investigation and advisory services.
We also provide advice on the selection and use of metallic and
non-metallic materials, and carry out work in fracture mechanics
and fatigue.
Our NDE specialists provide theory and practical knowledge in
all methods of NDE including radiography, ultrasonic, liquid
penetrant testing, magnetic particle inspection and eddy current
testing.
What are the benefits?
- access to expertise in theoretical and practical NDE
- confidence that firms or individuals are capable of providing
the required service
- economic advantages arising from the avoidance of repairs with
consequent delays in production or downtime in service
- reduce possibility of potential litigation arising from delays
or from incidents caused by material faults.
