Buildoffsite Registration Scheme

The Buildoffsite Registration Scheme operated by the Lloyd's Register Group is a process based assessment scheme designed to benchmark offsite construction organisations against best practice in terms of competency, methodology and safety. The scheme serves as the vehicle for the standardisation of best practice across the offsite industry

The Buildoffsite Registration Scheme ensures best practice within the offsite construction industry in terms of the safe and competent delivery of a product or service which meets client requirements. The scheme covers the design, manufacture, construction and project management activities and focuses on the process of delivery as well as the delivered product.

The provision of a factory quality, precision and safety-culture within the construction industry is recognised as the domain of the offsite construction sector and the Buildoffsite Registration Scheme has been introduced to formally endorse this view for all offsite organisations registered under the scheme. We were chosen to operate the scheme because of the strength and international recognition of the brand as well as our track record for assisting in achieving the preservation of safety within other industry sectors.

Registration under the scheme provides the offsite constructor with a web site listing, an approval mark and Buildoffsite Registration Scheme certification, which is valid for three years.

The scheme register, provides client organisations with the comfort that each of the registered organisations have been benchmarked against industry best practice.
