Australian companies acquired by Lloyd's Register Rail
Lloyd's Register Rail has completed the acquisition of two
companies in Australia, BlueField Consulting Pty Limited and
Belrose Consulting Pty Limited. They will provide a wider resource
to support the growth of the Lloyd's Register Group's rail business
in Asia and worldwide, while strengthening its provision of risk
services to other business sectors.
BlueField, a risk and safety consultancy with expertise in
various industries, is one of the rail sector's market leaders in
New South Wales. Belrose's expertise covers rail safety, risk,
engineering management and rail and station operations. It provides
both long term contracting and value-added consultancy services,
focusing on larger contracts requiring relatively high expertise
and experience.
Both companies will be fully integrated into Lloyd's Register
Rail and an Australia Management Team has been established to take
business forward. The Australia operations will be divided into two
groups, the Engineering and Operations Group and the Safety and
Risk Group.
