Corporate social responsibility policy

We are an independent organisation operating for the benefit of the global community, re-investing our surpluses into improving our services, public education and research and development.

As you might expect from an organisation so focused on safety and education, we recognise that, just like any other international organisation, our activities affect the communities and environment around us. Through various policies and procedures we are committed to considering and minimising any negative impacts that might be engendered by our work, providing this does not negate from our mission.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our organisation is run with social, economic and environmental concerns in mind. To achieve this we maintain a number of core policies and procedures which are managed through our Group business assurance system. These cover areas including corporate governance, conflicts of interest, environmental sustainability, procurement and supply chain management, data protection, employment and health and safety of our employees. We also maintain a code of ethics that governs how we all work and how we treat each other and our stakeholders.

Where possible and practicable, we aim to address our economic, social and environmental impacts locally, nationally and internationally.
