Quality policy

The interests of the community and of the environment are at the heart of our mission. Our work makes energy and transportation systems all over the world safer for those who use and work with them.

We are totally committed to meeting our clients’ needs and expectations and to achieving our vision. We will achieve our vision by being committed to quality, meeting established values, continually improving our standards and adding value to our clients’ business activities.

Our management system aims to make sure that:

  • we clearly understand our clients’ needs and expectations

  • if we fail to meet our clients’ expectations, we will quickly take action to put the matter right

  • the products and services we offer have been properly developed and approved

  • we systematically plan our activities

  • we identify and manage potential risks

  • work is carried out safely by competent and authorised employees

  • the products and services we provide are technically correct and accurately reported, and

  • we gather feedback from our clients, respond to it quickly and efficiently, and use it to improve our work.

All our employees contribute to the quality of our activities, and so influence our reputation and what clients think of us. Line managers and employees are accountable for implementing the management system effectively within their areas of responsibility.

The management system complies with the requirements of specified international standards and schemes. It provides for determining quality objectives, controls and indicators for measuring the effectiveness of processes and procedures. The Group Business Assurance Director is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, and reports on the performance of the system and on opportunities for improvement.
