• 6 years onboard experience on commercial vessels as engineer officer, second engineer and chief engineer
• Joined to Total Oil Company Turkey – worked for 4 years in Marine Lubricant Sales Department as Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager
How has your career developed since you’ve been at LR?
• Joined LR in April 2007 as Marine Client Relationship Manager.
• Promoted to Marine Country Business Manager July 2010
How has LR supported you?
• Since the beginning of my employment in Lloyd’s Register, I have been supported on my personal development both technically and commercially with training, key office visits, meeting with key people within Lloyd’s Register Group
• Lloyd’s Register supported me in my personal development for MBA – my line manager has taken a mentoring role on my MBA study
• Full support for my development has always been given by my line managers by means of encouraging, coaching and empowerment on my daily business issues. I have also been involved in taking strategic decisions on several business issues in my department’s working areas.

I believe that my promotion to my existing role is an outcome of application of Lloyd’s Register’s ‘Right People, Right Place, Right Time’ strategy
As a short term objective, I would like to make my best contribution to Lloyd’s Register’s success in our local market by ensuring the Lloyd’s operational success and financial growth beside establishing a high safety culture within Lloyd’s Register employees and in the local marine market.
Within my long term objectives, I would like to take higher responsibilities within the group in Marine and/or other business streams where my contribution may be appreciated as valuable to Lloyd’s Register’s success.
