As a result of the changes in the management and service structure in Europe, Lloyd's Register strengthens its position in Germany and the Hamburg office extends its service portfolio of marine services. The aim is to intensify and strengthen the fleet and ship new building services for our clients.

Disney Fantasy, the second Dream class ship for Disney Cruise Line (DCL), built by Meyer Werft GmbH (MW) in Papenburg was delivered on 09 February in Bremerhaven, Germany. The ship will sail to New York for a naming ceremony later this month and start service out of Port Canaveral at the end of March.

The first of two 169.5m long Lloyd’s Register classed ro-pax ferries for German-Danish operator Scandlines, designed to counter the competition from the planned Fehmarn Belt fixed link, has been floated out at P+S Shipyards in Stralsund.
