Types of surveys
- Request a remote survey through LR’ Client Portal by simply selecting the remote survey option when submitting your survey request. Our team will review the request and assign a qualified surveyor from LR’s Global Digital Survey Centre.
- Your surveyor will guide you through the process, review the submitted information, and advise if any additional evidence or livestreaming is required.
- When a remote survey requires live-streaming, it will be scheduled at a convenient time and conducted through LR Remote, our secure digital platform that supports live-streaming video and audio connection, real-time translation and image sharing, even in low-bandwidth environments.
LR continues to work with flag administrations, IMO and IACS to expand the range of surveys that can be carried out remotely, as industry guidance evolves. LR has secured with a number of flag administrations an extensive range of surveys where we are pre-authorised to proceed with a remote survey.
Every remote survey request is carefully assessed to ensure it can be completed safely, securely and in full compliance with class and flag requirements. This gives you greater flexibility in how surveys are carried out, while maintaining the same high standards and confidence you would expect from a physical attendance.
