London 28 November 2013
Earlier today, Aberdeen's Lord Lieutenant George Adam, acting on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, presented ModuSpec Engineering UK Limited, now Lloyds Register Energy with the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade award.
The award recognises substantial and sustained increase in export earnings over three consecutive 12 month periods, to a level which is outstanding for the products and services concerned, and for the size of the organisation. This was achieved by the then ModuSpec, who accomplished an overseas growth of 144% by adopting a three-pronged approach encompassing managing relationships, effective partnerships and first class service.
Margaret Mulcahy, Lloyd’s Register Energy Sr. Vice President for Europe, Africa & FSU, said: "It is an honour to receive such a high profile award which is a tribute to the hard work put in by our staff over a number of years."
The Lord-Lieutenant upon handing over the certificate said, "I am delighted to present the Queen's Award for Enterprise to ModuSpec Engineering UK Limited, to mark its sustained business expansion in international trade. It is a testament to the business acumen and staff commitment over the years that have led to this prestigious recognition."
