Major industry survey launched at AOG 2015

We are holding a major industry survey at AOG 2015 Conference and Exhibition in Perth, Australia.

An innovative survey of five crucial issues affecting Australia’s oil and gas future is to be conducted during AOG by the leading compliance, integrity and specialist risk consultancy services group, Lloyd's Register.

The key issues, which were borne out of an oil and gas executive dinner that the company held in Perth this week, include Commercial barriers to collaboration on innovation; Regulatory environment; Skills and knowledge shortage; Ageing assets; and Inability to adopt technology.

Lloyd's Register invite visitors to their AOG booth (#U13) to share their views and suggestions on the challenges faced. The results will then be fed into the company’s worldwide network briefings focused on connecting with institutions and companies in the global oil and gas space that together, can help find solutions to tomorrow’s business challenges.

Jeff Baker, Lloyd's Register's Technical Manager, Compliance Services for Australasia, said: “These issues have been debated and reviewed but through our survey, we aim to engage with the wider global industry, and use the findings to shape a collaborative overview and informed industry voice.”

John Wishart, Group Energy Director of Lloyd’s Register, said: "We hope the campaign will be a catalyst for ongoing industry engagement which produces constructive and tangible results. Through attracting people at all levels and across all sectors in the industry from around the world, AOG 2015 provides an ideal platform to do this and we would encourage people to participate."

The survey underpins the company's ethos behind 'pioneering new approaches to collaboration' enabling industry to collectively share their views to current day issues, from reservoir to refinery and beyond.

Lloyd's Register's insight in to current energy challenges supports the theme for the AOG Exhibition and Conference.  Visit Lloyd's Register Energy at AOG Exhibition (Perth), on Booth #U13.
