Issue 3 of the Group's Insight magazine starts with an in-depth look at the implications of the Fukushima nuclear incident and the future energy mix.
This issue starts with an in-depth look at the implications of the Fukushima nuclear incident and the future energy mix. We are pleased to include contributions from two senior figures in the nuclear industry, Professor Sir John Beddington, the UK HM Government Chief Scientific Adviser and Dr Mike Weightman the UK’s Chief Nuclear Inspector and CEO for the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR). Dr Weightman also led the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) fact-finding team to Fukushima in May.
One of our experts, Professor Richard Clegg, kicks of this section with his article Civil nuclear power: Rebuilding public confidence after Fukushima. At the end we broaden the theme out to a debate on the future energy mix with comments from leading energy industry figures.
