International Shipping Partners’ vessel to offer accommodation for relief workers
The International Shipping Partners’ vessel, classed by Lloyd’s Register class after being in lay-up since 2002, will provide accommodation for World Food Programme staff engaged in relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Haiti.
Sea Voyager has been accepted into Lloyd’s Register class following two weeks of sea trials in Jacksonville, Florida on the St. Johns River. The vessel, in lay-up since 2002, will have an important mission: providing accommodation for World Food Programme staff engaged in relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Haiti. Lloyd's Register North America, Inc. surveyors worked closely with the management company, International Shipping Partners, and the US Coast Guard to verify the vessel was in compliance with all necessary rules and regulations before its departure for Haiti.
