Statutory certification
As a recognised organisation, we carry out statutory inspections on behalf of flag administrations, verifying compliance with international Conventions – such as SOLAS and MARPOL – and Codes like ISM and ISPS.

Type approval
Lloyd’s Register Type Approval is an impartial certification service providing independent third-party Type Approval certificates attesting to a product’s conformity with specific standards or specifications, and verification of an appropriate production quality system. Marine Equipment Directive and Mutual Recognition type approval certification is also available.

ILO Maritime Labour Convention, 2006
The ILO Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 (MLC 2006) was ratified on 20 August 2012 and will enter into force on 20 August 2013. For those Member States who had not ratified the Convention by 20 August 2012, the Convention will come into force 12 months after the individual State ratifies the Convention.
