MARPOL Annex VI - A reminder of an upcoming change to the fuel oil sulphur limits

In accordance with the timetable given in Regulation 14.1 of the Revised MARPOL  Annex VI, the maximum sulphur content of any fuel oil used outside the Emission Control Areas of the Baltic and North Sea will be reduced from the present 4.50% m/m limit to 3.50% m/m from 1 January 2012.
