Floating offshore installations

The future of hydrocarbon production

Our expertise in the offshore oil and gas industry and 250 year history of ship classification combine to provide an unparalleled one-stop-shop service to the floating production market.

The oil and gas industry is increasingly turning to floating solutions using FPSO, FSO and FPU vessels for hydrocarbon production, particularly in deep waters, for marginal fields and in remote locations.

Recent years have seen environmentally driven developments such as the replacement of flaring by gas export facilities and a number of novel proposals. For instance extending the application of FSO and FPSO vessels to liquefied gas storage and export.
