Today Lloyd’s Register Energy announces the latest upgrade to V-Connect, its offshore safety case verification, and offshore certification management software. V-Connect is a planning and management software application that allows LRE’s clients, via an external website, to view data, reports, upcoming assurance activities and documents regarding their assets at any time. “The upgrade to V-Connect will help our clients work more closely with us and enable them to retrieve and manage more detailed information about the status of their assets” said Project Lead and Compliance Field Survey Manager, Lawrence Cowley. “ We sat down with our clients and really worked through the issues they had with the previous version of V-Connect. We are really excited that the upgrade is now being used by the same clients and the feedback on the changes we have received has been positive.”
“There is an increasing demand for LR’s verification work due to a recognition of the added value it brings, and EU Directive 2013/30. There was, therefore, an even greater need to have software to help manage this more efficiently, providing our clients with the information they need, when they need it“, described Lawrence Cowley. The upgraded application will be rolled out globally in the next few months.
V-Connect has a number of new and improved features for its global roll-out. V-Connect can now cater for differences between clients and their unique situations such as differing compliance regulations, safety critical elements, and risk rankings. Improvements have also been made to the reporting function, with more flexibility and options for exporting all report types into different formats. Email notifications on new survey authorisations, allocation of action parties, and change of commitment date, have also been updated. This new version of V-Connect brings new collaboration tools and a streamlined workflow for its global users.
