Comparing OHSAS 18001 with ISO 45001.

resource header

Although ISO 45001, the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management, is superseding OHSAS 18001, the two standards have broadly the same aims to improve OH&S performance to prevent work-related injury and ill health.

The main difference between the two standards is that ISO 45001 uses Annex SL, which will bring OH&S management and continual improvement deeper into the core of an organisation.

This comparison guide gives an overview of how the structures of the two standards compare.
