Round 2 Overview
Detecting safety risks and hazards in industrial environments, from marine to energy and infrastructure, is critical to protecting employee’s health and well as safeguarding the asset and the environment. New and emerging technologies are enabling innovative ways of sensing, identifying, understanding and managing a variety of these safety risks, from human factors to operational issues.
The Lloyd’s Register Safety Accelerator is actively seeking proposals from companies with innovative digital ideas to address this Challenge Round, focussed on developing new methods to detect and manage a variety of safety risks, to improve safety of life and assets in heavy industries. Successful applicants will not only benefit from trial funding but also the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading corporate challenge partners to accelerate development of their technologies and open up new markets.Partners for this challenge round are: Scorpio, Pacific International Lines, Infratek and Odfjell Drilling.
We want to see solutions with potential appeal to a wide commercial market. Successful applicants will be expected to trial their proposed solutions with the industry challenge partners for approximately 3 months.
