Overview
The Malaysian Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) requires a valid certificate of fitness (CF) for any steam boiler or unfired pressure vessel that is manufactured or brought into the country.
The following are examples of unfired pressure vessels that require design approval:
- Air containers
- Sterilizers
- LPG storage tanks
- Heat exchangers and,
- Pressure vessels at the petrochemical plants and other facilities.

Lloyd's Register is approved by DOSH as an Inspection Authority for the inspection and design appraisal of boilers and pressure vessels.
