Classification in managing the integrity of floating production units.

Key details

24 Nov 2015

  • Location Aberdeen
  • Venue Chester Hotel, Aberdeen

About the event

Risk-based Inspection (RBI) pertaining to hull integrity management of floating units, such as FPSO and FLNG units, provides a unique flexible approach to help operators mitigate risk and unplanned downtime by avoiding dry-docking, optimising maintenance schedules and reducing unnecessary inspection activities.

We’d like to invite you to be part of our audience for a panel discussion with industry experts who will debate and discuss how classification, and integrity fit together in order to maintain the integrity of a floating asset. The panellists will also address the challenges operators face in adopting a risk based approach for hull structures, perceived limitations and how these can be overcome. The discussion will culminate by identifying how the long term asset strategy of vessel redeployment needs to be considered within the asset integrity and RBI process.

There will be opportunity for audience questions throughout the discussion and a Q&A session at the end, however you will not be obliged to participate, we believe that you will gain significant insight from attendance alone.
