The combination of all three approvals means that their customers can purchase foundation bolting assemblies from one source with improved lead times and in full compliance with CE regulations. This gives them a greater scope of coverage than most other companies supplying the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors.
Compliance with EN 1090-1 enables Brooks Forgings to fabricate outer assemblies and the addition of EN 15048 enables the hot forging and machining of non-preloaded structural foundation bolts. These approvals demonstrate that they have undergone a rigorous audit, where their capability to comply with the current best practices employed in the Construction Sector was reviewed in detail.
"The introduction of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011) is an important milestone in the Construction & Civil Engineering sector, one we recognise and take seriously. Lloyd's Register is regarded as one of the leading authorities in the industry and has previously demonstrated their ability to perform efficiently during our ISO 9001 assessment. This supported our decision to pursue both EN 1090-1 and EN 15048 approval by again working with Lloyd's Register who have demonstrated a high level of knowledge and have been helpful throughout the entire process in supporting our intention to issue our products endorsed with the CE Mark."

What is the Construction Products Regulation CPR 305/2011?
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011) applies to manufacturers, distributors and fabricators of construction products within the European economic area.
To successfully comply with these regulations companies must undergo an assessment by a notified body such as Lloyd's Register, and prove their systems and products are fully compliant with all aspects of these regulations. If the organisation is successful they are then awarded the CPR Certification. This enables them to mark their products with CE Marking indicating their processes and products are fully in compliance and can be marketed across the region without additional testing or barriers to trade.
