The Lloyd’s Register Foundation (LRF) has invited leading food safety academics and thought leaders from NGOs, food associations and large food brands to collaborate on its latest Foresight Review on Food Safety during a series of workshops across the world over the next six months.
In partnership with Food Lab 2.0, the first workshop takes place on 4-5 October in Paris . Hosted by food sector experts from Lloyd’s Register, the group will meet to discuss short and long term trends and challenges in the safe and secure production of food across the supply chain.
Subsequent workshops will take place in South Korea and California USA to capture a global perspective of the ongoing food changes. This Foresight Review aims to identify key areas which would benefit from grant funding from the Lloyd’s Register Foundation in order to help secure a sustainable food supply chain for today and tomorrow.
Lloyd’s Register works with over 33,000 food businesses, providing certification and customised assurance solutions to businesses across the world. Profits from Lloyd’s Register fund the Lloyd’s Register Foundation (www.lrfoundation.org.uk) – a charity which focuses on the protection of life and property through education and research projects.
