Lloyd’s Register (LR) has been approved to deliver supply chain certification services to AuditOne™ standards across its technology platform powered by greenfence.
AuditOne™aims to streamline the process by which major consumer brands and their supply chains conduct their quality audits globally. AuditOne™ has been developed in cooperation with global brands, including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, L’Oréal, Estée Lauder and Kimberly-Clark to reduce duplication in supplier audits, reducing cost and resource requirements for both brand owners and the supply chain.
LR, the accredited body to deliver BRCGS Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials Issue including the AuditOne™ requirements set out in Module 9 - is developing its capability to deliver all other AuditOne™ services in the near future.
Commenting on the approval, LR Management Systems Chief Operating Officer, Paul Graaf said, “We are delighted to have been chosen as one of a small number of organisations who can deliver AuditOne™ certification services. This scheme enables fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands and their supply chains to reduce the amount of time and money spent on audits – enabling them to focus their resources on ensuring safe and sustainable products for consumers.”
Greenfence - with whom LR has been working with since June 2016 - has been chosen as the exclusive technology platform ecosystem for AuditOne™. Greenfence is the first platform technology serving the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) sector and offers LR clients unrivalled potential for connectability, scalability and interoperability of existing databases, schemes and systems across all industry sectors, not just food.
“The LR Food portfolio has once again been enhanced through our ability to now offer FMCG certification,” commented Duane Wood, Marketing Director at LR Management Systems & Inspection Services. “The delivery of AuditOne™ certification services will lead to greater levels of assurance for organisations with complex, high-risk supply chains, as greenfence uniquely connects everyone from large organisations to their smallest supplier and includes global standards/scheme owners and associated certification services.”
