Overview
Lloyd's Register organises training courses in PSA (probabilistic Safety Assessment) and RiskSpectrum software user courses.
The Lloyd's Register Nuclear Academy offers a comprehensive training programme in nuclear safety for all young and experienced consultants and engineers working within the nuclear sector. The programme includes an introductory course, an advanced course, and a range of specialised PSA training modules, including Seismic PSA and Human reliability analysis.
Human Reliability Analysis
Human Reliability Analysis (HRA) Training – 2 days
This course is tailored for nuclear power plant operators and regulators and is relevant for PSA/HRA practitioners who analyze/review HRA in PSA context. The course can also be interesting for people in other industry in the inclusion of human failures in the risk quantification.
The objectives of this course are to give the participants an understanding of:
- HRA in context of PSA
- Basics of HRA
- HRA applications
Primary topics are:
- Overview of HRA in PSA, Recent developments in HRA
- Categories of Human Failure Events: Pre-initiators, Initiators and Post-initiators
- HRA Methods, e.g. THERP, ASEP, HEART, SPAR-H and also ATHEANA
- Hands-on Practice using RiskSpectrum® HRA
Our instructor(s) are chosen on the basis of their areas of expertise, industry experience and proven results. Training modules combine theory with practical examples from the nuclear industry (BWRs and PWRs). Participants will also benefit from interactive sessions and hands-on practice using RiskSpectrum® HRA software.

Cancellation policy
In the event of a cancellation, please notify us immediately. If the cancellation occurs later than 30 days before the course start the course fee will be charged. The registration can be transferred to another person within your company. If so, please notify us so that we can update course certificates etc.
We reserve the right to cancel the training course if there are insufficient delegate numbers. In this event, we will notify you within 3 weeks of the start date.

Copying of course documentation and software is not allowed. This also applies to usage of educational material by third parties. Exceptions, complete or partial, may take place only after agreement with course coordinators within Lloyd's Register.

The course fee is EUR 1,999 and is subject to VAT, if applicable. Payment must be made in advance.
