The combination of lower clean energy technology costs and consumer preferences to control their electricity consumption is drastically changing the nature of the Australian energy grid. The transition to clean energy is putting pressure on the grid infrastructure, increasing the volatility and changing the way it’s built, operated and how electricity infrastructure is financed. The limitations of the existing network are becoming more apparent for grid connection in remote locations compared to historical generation centres.
In the absence of further policy support to overcome those 'first mover' barriers to facilitate necessary network upgrades, the boom currently driving the rapid decarbonisation of the Australian electricity grid could grind rapidly to a halt.
Join our panel session and hear cross industry experts discuss how to map a resilient path through this technology transition and why changing infrastructure will be essential to meeting the demands of consumers now and in the future.
Guest Speakers:
