Electrical engineering for a 50MW onshore wind project.

SGC performed a preliminary feasibility analysis, project assessment, and electrical engineering services for this 50 MW wind project utilizing 22 Siemens 2.3 MW turbines.


How we helped

SGC developed a preliminary one-line diagram for the collector substation based on the one line utilized in the System Impact Study. This one-line diagram was to be the basis for developing the preliminary substation layout of breakers, switches, and all other major devices used in the design. SGC also developed a preliminary plan view, permit level design for portions of the collector system which formed the basis for submitting a DEP application for a site location permit.

SGC completed the construction design of the 34.5 collector system, combining both overhead and underground design elements.  SGC provided engineering support during the construction phase.
