On June 3, FSSC 22000 published Version 5 of its certification scheme. One big reason for the revision is the publication of the standard ISO 22000: 2018, which is used as a basis for the GFSI benchmarked certification scheme. Audits against the former version FSSC 22000 v 4.1 are only allowed until 31 December 2019 and all issued FSSC 22000 certificates v 4.1 will become invalid after 29 June 2021.
Points to be covered:
- Why the version change
- Key changes to the requirements
- Additional requirements in the new Version 5
- Steps to transition from FSSC 22000 v4.1 to FSSC 22000 v5
