How to improve functional safety across your machinery

Spark image

The use of machinery is dominant in most industries, and while there's no arguing that machinery can greatly increase efficiency and ease, it can also pose a significant threat of injury. Every day, all over the globe, people are injured and killed in accidents involving machinery. Accidents that can often have been prevented, had the proper precautionary measures been taken.

The EU Directive is there to ensure that a high level of protection is ensured for all workers and citizens, by addressing the safety of machinery sold and operated. However, the ultimate responsibility for the safety requirements can vary from plant management to the manufacturer. Firstly, to ensure you are compliant, but also, and more importantly to ensure the safety of your personnel and reduce the risk of incidents.
