On this course, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of noise and vibration measurement, analysis and control techniques.

Upon completion you will...

Topics will be illustrated with numerous case studies including: singing propeller, propeller vibration problems, noise control in engine rooms, accommodation sound insulation and others.

Who should attend

Ship designers, ship operators, ship builders, naval architects and service engineers within the marine industry or people who have a general interest in quality marine designs with respect to noise & vibration.

A general understanding of fundamental physics will be beneficial but is not a prerequisite.
