The CDM is seen by many as a trailblazer. It is one of the leading, environmental investment and credit schemes of its kind, providing a standardised emissions offset instrument, CERs.
What we offer
LR has the low carbon verification and validation expertise to help projects benefit fully from the first environmental offset scheme of its kind globally.
We offer validation and verification of CDM project activities and Programme of Activities (PoA).
Validation is an independent third party assessment of the project design in order to determine compliance with baseline principles, as well as the calculation and monitoring of emission reductions.
Verification confirms that the project activity is implemented as planned, the monitoring system is in place and fully functional, the systems and procedures are in conformance with those described in the registered or final monitoring plan and the GHG emission reduction data is correct and sufficiently supported by evidence.
What are the benefits?
Streamlined process and efficiency
LR offers a streamlined service in validating a project or PoA, helping to save you time and therefore money.
Brand reputation and stakeholder engagement
LR provides transparent verification of the emissions data and documentary evidence required for the CDM to issue CERs thereby driving your brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.
Why choose LR?
LR played an integral role in helping the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry undertake capacity building for CDM shortly after the introduction of the Kyoto Protocol. We provided the senior tutor and prepared training materials for emission reduction projects in the land sector.
LR is a founding member of the Association representing Designated Operational Entities (DOEs) under CDM, and a board member of the International Emissions Trading Association.
