About the event
Lloyd’s Register is the Gold Sponsor of the 4th International LNG Congress, which takes place June 4-5 in Berlin, Germany.
Join LR for an update on the development of LNG bunkering vessels. In 2017 three purpose designed vessels were put into service to support LNG bunkering operations in the ports of Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam as well as the Skagerak, Kattegat and Baltic Sea. Design characteristics and features of these early 2017 examples of LNG bunkering vessels were compared in LR’s presentation offered at the 3rd LNG Summit. Since then a number of new projects for LNG bunkering vessels and barges have been contracted, commenced construction and delivered. For the 4th LNG Summit an update on the development of LNG bunkering vessels will be offered considering the new project cases including a notable new case for delivery in 2018 a ballast-free CNG fuelled 7500m3 capacity LNG bunkering vessel.
LR ’s presentation is part of Session 3: Marine engineering. Propulsion technologies for LNG-powered ships on day 2, 5th June. Join us for Rob Tustin’s contribution 'Comparison of purpose designed LNG bunkering vessels – a 2018 update' from 9.30-10.00.
In the breaks you can meet the LR’s local team and our presenter, Technical Consultant New Construction, Rob Tustin as well as our Principal Gas Technology Specialist Jose Navarro on stand No. 7.
