We are looking for innovative digital solutions addressing three new innovation challenges, to improve safety through data analytics applications.
Round 4 Overview
The ability to learn from previous incidents and hazards is a key mechanism in creating safer work environments. Capturing and analysing data that detail the circumstances in which these incidents occur is a vital souce of insight into the underlying causes of the incident, contributory factors and key precursor events. Data Analytics technology has the potential to transform how we address safety by providing this insight into previous incidents and preventing similar incidents occuring in the future.
The Lloyd’s Register Safety Accelerator is looking for innovative proposals from startup companies with applicable digital solutions. These data analytics technologies must be capable of addressing one of the three innovation challenges for this round, themed around 'Improving Safety through Data Analytics applications'. Trial funding will be awarded to successful applicants, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading corporate challenge partners. Selected technologies will benefit from accelerated development and exposure to lucrative new markets. Partners for this challenge round are: Scorpio, Bernard Schulte and the Discovering Safety Programme.
We are seeking solutions that may appeal to a wide commercial market. Successful applicants will be expected to trial their proposed solutions with the industry challenge partners, for approximately 3 months.
