What is it?
Vendor site inspection is inspection performed at the site of your supplier, designed to make sure you're getting what you ordered. Sometimes called "second-party inspection," it is inspection done on behalf of the buyer, acting as their "eyes and ears" on the shop floor.
What we do.
LR can act as your on-site quality control team, Lloyd's Register gives you a coordinated, global approach to vendor site inspection in the upstream, downstream, power, marine and industrial manufacturing sectors.
We can work with you to develop customised inspection test plans (ITPs) that help you avoid common manufacturing risks that come with international miscommunicaton, unclear instructions, or time zone complications.
We deliver timely intelligence reports that help keep your project on time, or allow you to make adjustments to production schedules based on site manufacturing issues.
