Indonesia was hit by a record 12.9 million cyberattacks last year, according to official data. As the year 2019 moves towards an end, experts predict a higher number of attacks to have hit the country this year as businesses and other institutions go through a process of digital transformation. Such cyberattacks cause direct and indirect losses of up to US$6.7 million for large companies and $33,500 for mid-sized companies in Indonesia, according to a Frost & Sullivan study released last year.
In such a scenario, companies need to consider cyber security a top priority and act on it immediately. We, at Lloyd’s Register, are hosting a seminar to explain more about the Information Security Management System.
