Surveyor
Our customers value Lloyd’s Register Surveyors for their engineering expertise with a solution-based approach to reducing risk; ensuring they can operate efficiently and safely in the harshest of environments. Our core purpose is making the world a safer place and accordingly, LR surveyors issue 300 Stop Work Notices around the world, every month. This authority is a great responsibility that is carried out in collaboration with clients, and accompanied by clear, thorough guidance to ensure activities can be resumed safely, as soon as possible.
As a result, our surveyors are always prepared to act decisively – confident in their technical inspection, approval and assessment abilities and able to think fast, act big and apply immediate improvements.

Assessor
Assessor roles require a strong manufacturing or engineering background and a passion for quality management and assurance. Lloyd’s Register assessors operate across a huge range of manufacturing, process and production assets and are held in high esteem. You will be helping global brands adhere to international safety standards and as LR has set many of them, your work will directly contribute to benchmarking these standards on a global stage.
There’s a lot of diversity across our assessor positions – working in the field means these roles can be flexible, so whether you have two or three years’ experience and are looking to specialise in quality management, are looking to develop your technical skills whilst bringing up a family, or are looking for opportunities with international travel – you may find your perfect job here.
