Our quality management system sets out the group policies and objectives, and is part of the overall strategy for achieving our vision.
It provides a framework for management of quality, safety & health, environment and business systems, by defining efficient working practices and effective controls. The group management system is independently certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 by BSI.
Entities within the group also hold various accreditations by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and other similar national bodies worldwide, for scopes of activity applicable to the services provided.
Lloyd’s Register entities are recognised globally by numerous national administrations and also hold specific approvals for various EC directives.
LR is a signatory to the UN Global Compact and is committed to the ten principles on human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption as critical for capturing long-term value.
LR is committed to ensuring that these principles are reflected in our business strategy, day-to day operations, organisational culture, sphere of influence and relationships with suppliers. LR’s Code of Ethics and whistle-blowing policy help us to ensure compliance with legislation including requirements that neither slavery nor human trafficking (Safeguarding against modern slavery) should take place within our business or supply chain. All our employees and contractors are required to comply with our anti-bribery and anti-corruption policy.
