Early careers support

We support those taking their first steps on the career ladder, through work experience opportunities, internships and graduate roles.

The Propel programme

Propel is our globally run programme designed to develop our colleagues’ knowledge and skills so they can become confident trusted advisers. It offers the opportunity to explore scenarios and practise tasks in an interactive in-person or virtual environment. Helping participants to build networks of colleagues who are all benefiting from the same shared learning experience.

The way this training was presented was exceptional. The actors were an excellent addition. The whole training was engaging and interesting, but most of all - it provided useful models and methods that can be applied in real-life scenarios.

The Propel Programme - colleague feeback

It is the best course I've attended at LR, looking back over the last 14 years. It is relevant to the job and opened the eyes to put responsibility to the place where it must be.

The Propel Programme - colleague feeback

I found the programme really valuable. It is important to learn about different profiles/clients and how to react to them in difficult situations.

We know that behind our performance and innovation is our people who drive us forward with their passion, dedication and expertise. Our benefits and wellbeing package has been put together to help colleagues be at their best in and outside of work.

Flexible public holidays

We’re proud of our colleagues’ diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. Which is why in many countries, they can prioritise the dates that are most meaningful to them by choosing when they take time off for public holidays. This means colleagues can use their flexible public holiday allowance for personal events or religious observances.

Buy and sell annual leave

Our colleagues in the UK, UAE, USA and Canada enjoy an adaptable approach to time off by buying and selling annual leave according to their needs. We’re set to expand this programme to many other countries throughout 2024.

Pathways to Impact

Our employees can apply for funding of up to £5,000 from LR Foundation, in support of a charity or not-for-profit organisation that makes the world a safer place. Colleagues can also take two paid volunteering days a year during their usual working hours.

Competitive pension

We offer an attractive pension scheme that’s available to all colleagues and may vary depending on the country you are based.

Pay equality

As an organisation that values diversity and inclusion, we’re committed to reducing our UK gender pay gap year-on-year. Our 2023 data shows we’re making positive progress, with the gap between the average pay of men and women reducing for a seventh consecutive year. Progress was even more significant for the bonuses gap, with the greatest year-on-year reduction since reporting began in 2017.

Our mission to address the gender pay gap is being driven forward by a global review of our inclusion culture. This ensures we update our DEI strategy and include targeted initiatives to foster professional development, unbiased processes and an inclusive culture.
