This document provides specific guidance for the mechanical stress relieving (MSR) procedure where clients intend to apply MSR for Type C tanks in lieu of Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT).
These Guidance Notes provide a basic framework for MSR. Detailed procedures should be provided by the clients, and the procedure shall be agreed with LR before commencing MSR.
