The Royal Princess, the first of two new ships being built at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone Shipyard in Italy, was delivered to Princess Cruise Lines on May 312013.  The Royal Princess is 142,229 gt, the largest cruise ship to be built in Italy, and is registered in Hamilton Bermuda.  She introduces some exciting innovations and special features such as a ‘Seawalk’, a glass floored corridor which extends beyond the hull with sea views 39m below.

She is the 31st consecutive cruise ship built at Monfalcone to Lloyd’s Register class and will be joined by her sister The Regal Princess in May 2014.

The Royal Princess will depart on her maiden voyage on 16 June.
